Specialities

Although I am familiarised with a large range of areas, I would like to draw special attention to the following specialities:

Tourism
I have a great professional and personal experience within the tourist sector, ranging from the translation of more traditional touristic leaflets to the presence of businesses on the internet. I provide highly sophisticated translations which adapt to the needs of this steadily growing online business.

Websites
I am from what Jeroen Boschma considers the Generation Einstein, born into the age of computers. Since my childhood I was used to navigate through the internet, having experiences with all sorts of online communities and websites. As a hobby, I have even build my own social network in the past. Translating online content is one of my favourite jobs. I have translated and proof-read online content on topics such as nutrition, NGOs or tourism.

Sworn Translation
During my degree I have specialised in legal, economic and scientific-technical translation. I eventually obtained a German <> Spanish Sworn Translator Licence from the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I provide sworn translations of any kind for very competitive rates.

Social Sciences
Having developed my research interests in social sciences has allowed me to deepen my understandings in the field. For research purposes, I have translated academic material on topics such as migration, gender, globalisation, international cooperation, equality and diversity or disability. Furthermore, I have always been engaging with this topics in both English and Spanish. My expertise also covers a range of disciplines, including sociology, anthropology, human geography or cultural studies.

Non-profit organisations
My professional experience in NGOs allows me to have a precise understanding about this sector. I am familiarised with international cooperation, social projects and initiatives or general descriptions about organisations, to name just a few. I have collaborated in the sector in Spain and the UK, attended international conferences and regularly translated and interpreted in multilingual environments. A sample of documents include EU documents, descriptions about NGOs and its projects and e-mail communication.
